hello

I'm a deputy features editor for Popular Mechanics, Runner's World, and Bicycling magazines

My work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, Nature, Scientific American, Science News, and more. NPR's science podcast Short Wave once interviewed me about my project to rank every moon in the solar system. In 2022, Red Bull invited me to help judge the aerobatics portion of their Paper Wings Competition, the world's largest global paper airplane contest. Stories I've edited have been featured in the Longreads and The Sunday Long Read newsletters and have appeared as notable mentions in the Best Science and Nature Writing anthologies.

I am a graduate of Smith College and UCSC's Science Communication Program, and was a recipient of the National Association of Science Writers Diversity Fellowship in 2018.
